A Bonespike would be a new melee item that would have it's damage be in the middle of a Stone and Iron Sword's damage. Example: In the Java Edition, a Bonespike's base damage would be 5.5 whereas in the Bedrock and PS4 editions it would deal 6.6 damage. It would be made using a Mineral Slicer, which would be made by putting any axe on top of a Crafting Table in any place on a Crafting Table grid. The Mineral Slicer will look like a furnace that doesn't have a cooking hole near the bottom, with an axe lying on the top. The axe would have to look like an iron axe (even though any axe can be used to craft the Mineral Slicer) because if it was stone, the cutting part would blend with the Mineral Slicer's cobblestony look. When you interact with the Mineral Slicer, you will see what looks like a furnace grid, except the fire sign that is used to show the fuel going down is a small tree. The slot that would have been the fuel slot for a Furnace is now an Axe Slot, and you have to use an axe as fuel. When you first get the Mineral Slicer, it will already have an axe in the Axe Slot (the axe that you use to craft it). When an axe is being used in the Axe Slot, the small tree will look like it is slowly falling down and the axe will lose small durability. To craft the Bonespike, put a bone in the slot above the Axe Slot. The bone will soon turn into a Bonespike, which one side of it looks like a bone and the other is a spike.
