Bonsai!

There could potentially be a new type of flower pot - the bonsai pot, which you can place saplings and maybe even bamboo into, and use shears or another new tool of some sort to “shape” the plant. This could be done by having the plant over a few days or weeks in game become an “overgrown” state. The plant wouldn’t be fully shaped in one use of the shears though, you may have to wait a while to continue getting it to its perfect shape and size, this would add a few more levels to the process. I should mention that to add a little variety to the bonsai plants you can maybe get different bonsais of the same sapling. If you don’t use a water bottle on it every so often (maybe an in game week) it would start to loose it’s leaves, wilt, and eventually die - turning into a dead bush. Having these small features would give a lot of people a nice thing to stop by and do at their base or home after being out mining, or hunting, or farming, etc for a while
