The Swinger is a pretty crazy idea;
It'll swing the item you give it. That means it'll swing a pickaxe if you give it one, or a sword etc. Monsters will try to destroy it, like they try to destroy Turtle Eggs. It means it can act as a great defense against monsters when equipped with a sword!
If you want the swinger to work, you have to feed it redstone like feeding coal to a furnace, Redstone blocks feed more than redstone; just like coal blocks.
Maybe renaming the Swinger would be good, but I have no idea for another name, and there is something I thought about at the same time, the Swinger could have also a function to empower redstone, creating some redstone that doesn't need a redstone torch or a redstone block to be lit. The cost to empower 1 redstone is 2 redstone, or 2 redstone for 1 torch. The redstone should appear in your inventory as Powered Redstone, appearing the Red-Orangeish lit redstone is. This is my first suggestion, I can say it's pretty crazy and probably won't be under review, I posted it here only if the case I could actually see my invention come to Minecraft!
