Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

The drill

The drill would let late game players mine faster and more efficiently.

To make the drill you need 4 diamonds and 2 redstone.

The drill would mine blocks much faster than any pickaxe.

The drill would be very durable but can't be enchanted. (yet?)

You would be able repair the drill but weaken the anvil heavily.

This would make late game players have to grind less to get what they need.

 

I hope this is considered if mining will ever get updated because we haven't had updates to mining in so long.

    Or even making it a redstone block like an extended piston; Where the piston head could be replaced with a drill head which mines in either a 3x3 square or 3x3 circle, and a flying machine could mine out large amounts of land without losing the mined blocks like you do with TNT mining.

    Personally, I haven't played this game in a very long time because creativity is hindered by not being able to level out large amounts of land without being on Java and using the TNT duplication glitch, or using MCEdit.

    This game's most basic element(mining) is such a chore, lol. There's no fun in it at all, lol. It's the single aspect of MC that has been ignored since it was created.
