Seems like a natural addition to go with it considering they should or do help with farming. Trading honey or hives or bee suits {which could be just enchanted armor idk}

This would give honey even more uses. It would be nice to profit from it.
Adding on to someone else's comment, adding honey glazed bread, but also some utility to honey in general: regeneration I or II. Eating honey of any sort will grant the player the regeneration status. This would definitely help make bees much more useful, and a beekeeper a valuable villager.
I was about to post this too, I have a lot of honey bottles in my survival world. A bee keeper villager would be great.
This is such a great idea! Maybe it could be expanded upon to open up even more possibilities. For example:
- Honeycombs can be crafted into wax, which in turn could be crafted into candles with string.
- Candles give off light when placed, and can be stacked like sea pickles. One candle can give off a light level of 7, increasing in increments of two for each candle placed, with a max light level of 13.
- As an addition to other peoples' comments on Beekeeper Villagers' trades, they can maybe sell 8 candles for one emerald and will buy 16 wax for one emerald.
- Beehives become a Beekeeper Villager's workstation.
- Add Abandoned Bee Nests, which cannot house bees and will drop 1 honeycomb when broken, except when broken with a Silk Touch axe.
I would loooooove to see a beekeeper. I like that this villager has armor that will prevent bees from attacking them, whether it's a new type of armor that doesn't block other damage, or an enchantment unique to weaker armor like leather or chainmail. I love the idea of a special beekeeper house with a flower garden, although I also think the beehive should generate near the farmland with flowers on the other side so the bees could help the farmer.
I think they should sell flowers since it's annoying to farm flowers by using bone meal on grass. They should buy empty bottles and sell bottles of honey, and sell honeycomb, campfires/soul campfires, maybe shears, bee armor, etc. Also, selling crystalized honey or wax blocks would be nice to see, not sure why those were removed from the 1.15 snapshots. They shouldn't sell beehives or bee nests, that'd be like them selling their own job block. Also I think natural bee nests shouldn't count as job site blocks and should remain something that has to be found, not buyable or craftable.
Would the beekeeper be able to work (collect honey) at their job site block even when it isn't full of honey? If they try to collect when there isn't a campfire, do the bees get mad? Even if the beekeeper is protected, would the mad bees attack other villagers? If the beehive doesn't have bees, does it still count as a job site block? Don't understand why the leatherworker exists but no beekeeper! Please add, thanks!!
I think it would bee cute if the iron golem held out poppies to bees and the bees huddle towards the flower!
I think that any bee hive/nest would be a work station, bees or no bees, right?
Some Beekeeper Villager trades that can go with these kinds of Villagers.
1 Emerald = Poppy/Dandelion (Poppy or Dandelion is chosen by a randomizer.)
1 Bottle = 2 Emeralds
1 Poppy = 3 Empty Bottles
3 Emeralds = Lily of the Valley/Rose Bush (Lily of the Valley or Rose Bush is chosen by a randomizer)
2 Bottles of Honey = 1 Block of Honey
Wither Rose/Lily of the Valley = 1 Bee Nest (Wither Rose/Lily of the Valley chosen by a randomizer)
2 Bee Hives = 5 Emeralds.
3 Honey Blocks = Enchanted Chain Chestplate (Enchantment = Protection)
13 Honeycombs = 3 Lily of the Valley's.I don’t like the bee suits but beekeeper villagers should really be a thing. Bee hives could easily be a work station! And it would be cool to have a villager type that doesn’t spawn naturally in the world
+1 for beekeeper as a villager profession with beehives as the jobsite block.
They should trade beehives with live bees inside of them! Unless you have silk touch, it's hard to get bees for your farm.
Bee armor could be crafted like normal armor except it uses wool. Maybe for the helmet there would be a piece of string inside the helmet for a crafting recipe?
There should be villager bee keepers or at the least sell it. Thank you
Really good idea. I considered posting this. I never thought about the Bee Suit, It would be a nice way just in case you hit a bee or break a hive they don't sting you and you lose all your bees.
Everybody Vote on This!
Was literally about to post this idea lol
Here's my idea for levels and trading
Job site block: Bee Hive
Level 1: buys bottles sells shears
Level 2: buys bone meal sells glass block
Level 3: buys random flowers sells oak sapling
Level 4: buys bottled honey sells honey block
Level 5: sells leadnoice
Yeah I think this would be a very good idea! In my opinion, villagers would only naturally spawn as beekeepers (and have the building linked to their profession) in certain biomes. In my opinion, it would only bee (lol little pun) in the plains and maybe taiga biomes since that's where flowers are. You would be able to use a beehive as the job block and give it to any type of villager in any village, but naturally only in those biomes. That's if it would be outside. If it was some sort of indoor bee hive than maybe in all biomes. This would definitely make it even easier to find bees and bee related items :).
I was thinking of a new profession for the villager. a Beekeeper thsy wears a respective outfit. It would trade flowers and other beekeeping necessities. Their workstation would be a Bee Hive. I'm not sure about bee suits, though.
The idea of the beehive as the jobsite block makes a lot of sense to me, and so does the addition of a beekeeper villager. I wanted to comment on the bee suit though. On the villager, it could just be a full body outfit. On the player, I don't think it would be a great idea to make it a full body suit because of the hassle of removing all the armor, making yourself vulnerable and just to get some honey. Perhaps just the wearable veiled hat without any armor values could do the job. Seeing as there is already a way to collect honey without angering bees and getting stung by using smoke, I think the bee hat would need an important and unique function that doesn't already exist. Of course, you want the bee suit (bee hat) to keep yourself unharmed from the bees AND keep the bees alive. What could the other function be? I'm not sure. I think it would need one, or else a wearable bee suit would probably not reach players. As a purely decorative outfit for the beekeeper villager (which I would really love to see), I think the bee suit makes a little more sense.
Definitely agree with this idea! Esp that the bee hive should be their job site block considering the bee nests are the ones found in nature. I think the beekeeper should be shown smoking the hive at times just to give him some animations instead of just standing at the box like some of the other professions. Real beekeepers have like this hand smoker thing (idk what it’s called) so he could have one of those instead of using a campfire. He could trade campfires though and flowers, more beehives, honey combs/blocks, bottles of honey, etc like everyone else said. I hope they do this one! The bees are too cute to not be utilized more.
They should give honey bottles to any hungry Villagers, they would probably have a work area that's outside with a fence, and the man made bee hives. For appearance, some leathery and chain mail for the suits and then a few bee stings on exposed hands and the head. So yeah, that's what I think.

The only thing I agree with is beekeeper villagers, the bee suit is unecesary, I upvote just for beekeepers, I don´t really care about the bee suit, but I don´t mind if they add it, I would not use it anyway
I was going to post the same thing and I think that this is a fantastic idea! They could trade flowers, honeycomb, shears, campfires, honey bottles, things like that.
Instead of it being an enchantment of could be a new armor that makes her sting not poison you and will not kill the new it can also come with a new enchantment like IDK bee game witch makes the bees not attack when you take the honey?
Yes. I want to trade honey and honeycombs for emeralds. would make auto honey farms more worth it. They could also sell glass bottles and beehives as well as bee suits or bee enchants.
They could sell and/or buy specific flowers which would give an interesting use for putting bonemeal on grass
Now that we have candles this villager have something more to his trade list
I think they should have a new armor set called bee suit and it should make it where you can collect honey comb without killing your bees because they sting you
