Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Enchanted books can be stored in bookshelves.

Where do you store books? In bookshelves of course!

Stored bookshelves could have a slight effect the enchantment for items.

For example. It is not possible to enchant a book with mending, you have to find it in a chest somewhere in the world. If you placed a mending book in a bookshelf, there would be a tiny chance (say 1 in 300) of being able to get mending on a book. This can stack up to 5 times for any enchantment.
Mending could work like
1 book = 1 in 300
2 books = 1 in 250
3 books = 1 in 200
4 books = 1 in 150
5 books = 1 in 100

A maximum of three books can be placed in one bookshelf because you use 3 books to craft them.

Also an Ender Enchanting table (crafted from a enchantment table and an end crystal) would alow the player to see all enchantments before they are applied.

    I’m very interested in storing enchanted books in bookshelf blocks.

    The idea of books on shelves having any sort of effect on enchanting items doesn’t really interest me as much as just being able to put enchanted books onto bookshelves.

    I think bookshelves should have their own inventory specifically for enchanted books. It would save space of needing to have chests around to store books. And since you would have 15 bookshelves around an enchanting table I think it would be ideal.

    I think it would be great if each bookshelf had an inventory the size of a hopper that could store enchanted books, book and quills, regular books, and signed book and quills.
