    I'm a big proponent of defending your base from monster attacks, mainly because it gives more purpose to the things you build. I do think these attacks should be optional, though - some players don't want to worry about the monsters, ya know?

    Either way, I'm giving you a vote. Any implementation of 'base-defense' type gameplay would suit Minecraft really well!

    I like the idea; however instead of occurring by chance it’s triggered by an object or something on command similar to village and pillage since some players may find the attacks annoying. Otherwise make it extremely rare so it makes players more interested in doing instead of a task. Personally I would prefer your idea I just think a good group of the community might wanna avoid fighting mobs
