Food/beans that grow on stalks (also unions)

Hey, my minecraft idea was to add food that grows on stalks, which are mostly beans.

The stalk recipe would be 2 sticks or 2 bamboo and that would result in 2 stalk. The stalk will be placed on dirt and can stack up in the air to 4 blocks high. The seeds for beans or the other stalk fruits or vegetables will be placed on the first stalk, the closest to the ground.

The full grown bean seed will act like a melon/ pumpkin or berry bush seed, that means that the full-grown seed stays but the bean is harvested.

I think stalks would look awesome on farms and gives another look on farming! Also I think unions will be a great addition to the game. Because the are a main ingredient in food recipes like stews
