Red Diamond The ore in nether

Red Diamonds would be rare as regular diamonds but in nether, tools and armor made with use of them will be a little bit less durabillity but armor would give you resistance to fire and enemys that will attack you will catch on fire sword will work like diamond one with fire aspect, tools will auto smell materials that will be destroyed with them, i think it would make mining in nether have meaning, also adding more variants of existing ores but with fire theme in them to the nether would be cool

  This is a genius idea, not only is the concept of the red diamond great, it also makes the nether more interesting, truly a revolutionary new concept. The only thing I would change, is to make them hard to spot next to netherack and make it next to lava.

  Frankly this idea is awesome. I don't it should be height restricted, since the nether is supposed to be "deeper" then the overworld anyway. I would think it would be more rare than standard diamonds, simply because of how quickly you can mine through netherack, and because of how frequently ore would be exposed. Everything else is dead on (thought an axe might turn logs into charcoal).
  
  EDIT: In response to toilpX's comment, maybe they could be nether ruby instead of red diamond? Same stats as diamond except for the changes stated by the main topic.

  hmmm not thinking diamond, i think it should be its own ore and have its own shape but yeah could be cool.
