I find it annoying to carry a bucket of milk just to eliminate potion effects on you but you get pelted by another one in succession, and charcoal is overshadowed by coal in terms of use. So I have an idea of making charcoal a bit more useful by turning it into Activated Charcoal and in turn can be used to make a potion.
To create an Activated Charcoal, you must put charcoal on a Blast Furnace, not a regular furnace. This will yield a powder of Activated Charcoal. You can consume Activated Charcoal like you do in milk but it can be stacked up to 8 only. However, consuming it without having any potion effects on you will increase the rate of hunger and reduce saturation.
Now, if it is brewed in a Brewing Stand, you will create a Potion of Adsorption which prevents the user from receiving ANY type of potion effects for 1 minute. It also instantly removes the current potion effect active upon consumption. To make the potion, you only need Activated Charcoal in the input. That's it.
Now, what's also unique to Activated Charcoal is that you can use it to purify the potion you have back to a Bottle of Water. So if you have a Potion of Weakness or a Mundane Potion, you can purify it back to a regular Bottle of Water. You cannot extend the duration of the effect, turn it into a splash potion, or a lingering potion.
