Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

There wouldn't even need a new keybind. The way slabs are placed right now depend on which half (top half or bottom half) of the block's face you click on. The same controls can be expanded to allow even more placements for slabs/stairs, divide the faces of blocks into 4, instead of 2, and depending if you click the top ▽, left ▷, right ◁, or bottom △ side of the face ☒ .

In fact, the black "outline" that Minecraft makes when you hover over blocks when you hold a slab/stair could even be changed, to show players the sides of faces to click on when placing the slabs/stairs. Even if MC doesn't add more rotations to slabs/stairs, changing the "outlines" to show top/bottom halves of faces would be helpful, since players complain about how hard it is to place slabs/stairs as they currently are in the game.
