Llama caravans are nice and all, but its annoying to have to turn every few seconds to keep an eye none of the caravan llamas got lost, stuck, etc, plus with the existance of shulker boxes and ender chests they feel rather..useless
I believe that something that would make caravans a lot more useful and less of a pain to deal with would be to give them wolf-like behavior, In the way that, they would not only follow the player regardless of range, But also give them the ability to teleport when they are very far away, because regardless of the convinience of caravans when it comes to storage, due to terrain differences, water, caves, etc it can make carrying the caravan even more inconvinient than not, which defeats the proupose of it beeing a convinience, turning it into more of another thing you have to look out for
Now i imagine this would cause some complications when it comes to Choosing what kind of llamas you want to bring with you since they would just all teleport to you as soon as you pick one up, so i also suggest to give llamas a "sitting" system like wolves too, When sitting, they wont follow any caravans beeing formed, when standing, they will wander about, and when one Standing llama is leashed, all other standing ones would too
Or straight up remove the whole need for the leash and make them act just like wolves, with a limit of how many llamas can follow you at once, or not, as you can potentially have infinite in the current version too
