I hope this happens so badly, because whenever I want to do that, I look up the solution and it says you need to hack and risk destroying your switch, just to download a single texture pack!

I would love it so much!! The problem is authorization: if you had a loading folder on the SD card, it would create a security problem for the entire system, because people could load custom software that could damage the OS by interfacing with other applications or by downloading other software like an IP Grabber. Yes, it could be possible for having maybe an authorization platform on Minecraft.net but it would create an hassle to Nintendo to make a secure "tunnel" for loading files from the SD card to the internal storage, by granting security to the OS... still an idea that i would love to see in action for everyone.

How is this not a thing already!? Mojang needs to phone up Nintendo and get this sorted.

They could do it through a flash drive with a adapter instead of the SD card where all the switch's data is mostly stored

When an external storage device is in any console edition there should be an import from external storage device option. This would bring up a menu on files to browse skins, add-ons, and maybe Resourse packs.

Yes it’s a pain in the neck I don’t have enough space to download a 123.9mb on a 23.7gb system and wast money on a 128gb sd card to find out I can’t save my data on it. I really to play realms with friends and family but can’t.

We need a texture pack because we need a pvp pack and a FPS boost.
If you can do it on xbox then why not switch.
It will be a bum if this never happens.

Idk why but if Microsoft wanted since they have the purchases are saved to account why not upload a texture pack to that sort of feature? It would work? but persronall they need to do something.
