I think that Minecraft should add a way of moving fast like Dashing. Similar to other games, like Hyper Light Drifter, you look to the direction you want to dash. The Dashing mechanic should also affect the player. For example, when you dash, you cannot control the movement of the player while you are dashing. There should also be a dashing animation. Also when you dash, you lose your food points more faster and therefore needing to eat more. There should also be some special attacks when you dash, similar to piercing, when you dash towards spaced mobs, left click with your sword in order to attack all those mobs at once. Be wary though, this is a very risky and tricky attack. I think that when you dash, you move 8 blocks to the direction your facing. This can also be a great addition suggestion the Combat Update Snapshot that Jeb posted on Reddit that could change the way of combat on Java Edition Minecraft and unite all combat systems of all versions.
