Giant Ants

In Minecraft, there is only 1 mob related to insects, which is the spider. Because of this, I personally think that there should be giant ants as well. Giant ants, or just ants, would attack in groups but would do less damage than the spider, but would also make a large randomly generated nest underground, for the player to explore in. Maybe in a certain area of it is the Queen ant, which could be a new boss and in other areas, there can be mob-related loot (since the ants would have eaten them)? Spiders could also feed on these ants, attacking them and killing them.

    Great idea! Once Mojang fully adds a crawl feature it would be cool to explore smaller 1 block tunnels along with larger tunnels, and rooms. Ant hill would be awesome. Ants can expand tunnels and add blocks to the pile. There could be a cast system ie worker ants, soldiers ants ect ect

    This would be great. There's still not enough bugs in Minecraft currently! Bane of Arthropods sorta feels like an unnecessary enchant due to the lack of hostile bugs...

    I think that ants would be a needed mob in Minecraft, because I am not using my bane of arthropods sword on bees. They could add a potion that can make you very small and you could go in termite mounds, ant hills, or (with elytra) beehives. or maybe it  can be make so you can dig up the ant hill and the queen would be small but have a way to capture her and her ants and make a farm for them where it could attack mobs other than the wither and skeletons (because they don't have flesh, which is food to them).
