Pelicans!

pelicans should be in minecraft!

they can be tamed with loads of fish

you can ride it but you will need a saddle

and it can store items as it follows you

    What if in the wild, they catch fish, and if you find one with a full beak, you can hit it for it to drop or fish or a random item like with fishing

    Or hear me out they could also trade the fish they hold in their mouths for cod & in exchange for A different type of fish they caught out in the ocean.
