Nether Portals Should Be Able To Be Put Closer Togther

I would like to suggest that nether portals could be placed closer together in the world without them linking to each other automatically. So each spot could have a nether portal and they wouldn’t be linked so you wouldn’t have to walk back from the main portal. I’m not saying that u should be able to have portals a block away from each other or anything. I just think they shouldn't have to be 1000 something x and y coordinates away. I hope you will take this suggestion into consideration because I believe it will make the game a little more enjoyable. :)
