How about cooking stronger suspicious stew in cauldron and mixing ingredients for various effect.
You add water to cauldron and then follow some recipe.
Recipe can be randomly generated and found in books in shipwreck, treasure chests and etc.
For example, you can do following steps in recipe:
- Add mushrooms to extend duration, but decrease power of effect a bit (balance it)
- Add flowers to increase power of effect, but substract duration a bit (maybe exponential)
- Heat with fire or campfire (with bubbles effect).
- Cool by throwing snowball into cauldron.
- Mixing (?)
- Hitting cauldron with lightning (?)
If your suspicious stew doesn't have specific temperature (and you haven't done specific pattern), you can fail and stew will get no effect or negative one. You can't just add flowers and mushrooms to get stronger stew. So you need to know recipe or to study one by yourself.
Let's add some exploration to minecraft.
After you finished cooking, you can get the result by clicking right mouse button with empty bowl.
Extra (and unnecessary, maybe too cruel, but very funny) ideas:
- Put some mob into cauldron and boil it (with damaging them) to get special effect, e.g. boil chicken to get slow falling, rabbit for jump boost, zombie for Hunger and etc. It is hard to do, but you can be witch in Minecraft!
