Shields feel too overpowered and not fun to play against. As the shields are now, ranged combat isn't even a thing since you can block any arrows. I think a shield health bar should be implemented. The health bar would be the same size as the regular health bar and armor bar, and would only show up when you have a shield in your off-hand. The bar would deplete depending on what kind of weapon hit it, say maybe an axe does 3 damage, a sword does 2, and maybe an arrow does 1. Once the bar is completely depleted, it will start to slowly regenerate. You can't use your shield again until the bar is completely regenerated. Here is an idea of what it could look like.
