Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

X-ray potion

There should be potions were you can see through like walls and caves and to find ores or other things,but to add in some pretty hard stuff to fine so its fair

    To keep this from being to being op there should be some downside and limitations to using the potion. Some ideas:

    • Fairly rare brewing ingredient that is hard to get in large quantities and can't be farmed AFK effectively, though not so rare that the potion would never be used. Something like Eye of Ender in rarity.
    • Short duration, say 20 seconds for basic and 1 minute for enhanced.
    • While potion is active all non-xray'd blocks will appear like glass. This will make movement much more difficult and somewhat risky as terrain / falls will be hard to see.
    • Held items, especially maps, would be invisible.
    • Effect negated by obsidian - this block would still appear transparent, but no "shown" blocks other than bedrock would be visible behind obsidian.
    • Should only show mobs, perhaps other "living" features such as plants, moving water, lava, and bedrock. Should not show chests or spawners as that would make finding dungeons far too easy.
