Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Charged Iron Block

I suggest adding charged iron block

Craft:

1 2 1
2 1 2
1 2 1

1 - Iron ingot
2 - Redstone dust

Result - 1 charged iron block

Purpose:

1) Lightning rod

If this block is the highest SINGLE block in 64x64 area, lightning will strike into this block with 50% chanse (if it appears in that area).

2) Wireless Access Point

This block checks for another charged iron block in 15x15x15 area. If another block is there and its powered by redstone, then first block is receiving the redstone signal through all other blocks. Output signal is always 15.

It doesn't work if any liquid (water/lava blocks, rain/snow) touches it or space in between.

3) If you make 3x3x3 cube using charged iron blocks, compass needle will point towards it. If there are many of these structures, then it points at nearest cube.

Through iron bars this could make eletrical barbed wire! Mabye even lightning rods!

Dude! Mojang is adding the lightning rod part!
