Command Syntax

In Minecraft: Java Edition, the command syntax has changed over the different updates. If you check on the Minecraft Wiki for almost any command in the game, it shows you the differences in how you would type it out on different versions of the game. It would be much simpler to leave the command syntax the way it is now in future updates.

    That was generally the plan. Dinnerbone noted that it would be better to break everything all at once rather than to break something every single update. Odds are, the command system that we have now won't have any significant changes in the foreseeable future.
