Ripping up saddles for leather

I have too many useless saddles, and I need more leather. Make there a way to rip up saddles to get some leather, like saddle on the crafting grid to some leather, so I don't have to just go to the nether to throw them in lava.

I 110% agree with this. It's useless to have so many saddles. What the heck are we supposed to do with them? Over run our world with livestock and hope we don't lag out before we use them all?
