Survival Mode Needs a More Extensive Progression System

    I agree.
    I sometimes feel a little bored of the somewhat repetitive gameplay loop where you complete the game to unlock grinding for items so you can build something cool, grind for hours, forget about your goal or lose massive progress in some way, new world or switch to server minigames.

    I do think Minecraft still needs this long term grind to some extent as it keeps many players interested in long term worlds. It also keeps technical players interest by getting them to create even better farms and machines.

    I think this could be solved by a number of things like:

    Having a more in-depth late game options for getting supplies easier, or building more efficiently.

    A overall gameplay loop that lasts longer, or having the late game and mid game take longer to complete. (new bosses, dimensions, or other objectives.)

    A game mode that involves much less grind for items, while retaining the main aspect of survival and exploration. (Somewhere between creative and survival)
