So I'm currently working on a datapack that plays different soundtracks for different biomes. However what I have problem with is transitions between biomes when soundtracks are changed. Currently I need to crop the old music and replace it with another soundtrack which is rather choppy.
A nice feature would be to be able to target a specific sound and change it's volume after it has been started by the playsound command. This would allow me to create a fade out, by lowering the volume all the way down to 0 over some time when a player changes biome instead of just cropping the sound which in my opinion doesn't feel that great.
