I've been playing/following minecraft since its beta, and I have to say I love the direction its taken, I used to only play once in a blue moon to check on this curious project but it was only in 1.10+ that I started to enjoy it as a game, because survival mode started to feel fleshed out and completed with out the need of mods.
One part of the game that isn't fleshed out is creative mode. Map maker editors for Warcraft 3 and Age of Empires II, playing the sims and even using the map maker for timesplitters. These tools hit a really good spot between ease of access and "skill cap" in their usage. The only reason I would personally play creative would be to create a space to play on. However the one by one block placement is so redundant that I often get bored quickly
An ingame "vanilla" mode for advanced creative mode would be really good. It would just be an extra game mode with a different interface, no player entity, and a god game PoV. To prevent lag from any chunks loading, a feature to turn on and off the rendering of certain things like mobs/lava/water and also to not render animations.
That's the idea, a user friendly, ingame or even a secondary app (accessed from launcher?) "map editor" style game mode so more people can bash out maps for each other.
Thank you!
