Phantoms perch on trees when they can’t get the player.

When in trees perhaps they should be in a of pterodactyl like pose where there wings are folded up and pointing backwards with their “hands” and “feet” (do phantoms have feet and hands) on the leaf block or whatever they’re perching on. They could also occasionally make a ghostly noise to remind you of their presence.
