Smithing table functionality idea

Me and my friend came up with this idea while xp grinding for the smithing table to allow you to seperate enchants. For example if you have a book with 2 enchants you put it in the slot and a book in the other slot, choose which enchant goes into the other book, and it splits them in half. This would allow for a sharpness 3 prot 4 book not to be just be wasted on a sword or armor, since you would be able to use both those enchants.
