In the Java Edition, the light emitted by all artificial sources has a flickering effect. This flickering does not make sense for certain artificial light sources such as glowstone and redstone lamps. Glowstone should give off steady light as it is supposed to "glow". The removal of the flickering of light from other sources such as sea lanterns and End rods should be considered as these light sources are often used for high-tech builds as they are white. Realistically, if a light is flickering, it is usually using old technology, defective, or installed incorrectly. In Minecraft, we should have lights that give a more modern feel.
