More Username Options & Name Change

Most people have heard of a user called "8." He is one of the few players with a 1-character username, and this feature was available until 2016. I would like this feature to be re-added as some people such as me would really like to have this feature. This would also mean that accounts like 8 would become worthless because you could simply change your name to something such as 9. You would also be able to change to a 2-character username. I personally think this is a great feature.

    I just think the ability for us to change our names on this site would be very nice.

    I'm usually known as Mathking13 (sometimes it's an 18 instead but hey), but yeah here I have some random username that I never would have come up with. Not cool, man.

    I had my username as 'Immerderp' which is my usual, ut allowed me to enter it and it was fine, but when I checked it had changed to the default 'parentalblock' with a number. Im like uhhhh

    I loaded in with a random username and can't set it to one I normally use. Would be nice if I wasn't stuck with wherever the random names came from?

    I love minecraft earth, but I’m a little peeved that I got a random Microsoft name. I wish there was an easy way within the app to change my name from something completely random like “upbeatland”. Please take this into consideration. Maybe buy a name change with rubies.

    In case you're wondering how to change your name here, it's a bit tricky. First, go to microsoft's website and sign in. Then, go to your profile and edit your name. After that, log out and back in at feedback.minecraft.

    What you are suggesting is to remove the minimum character limit in Java Edition, which would do nothing but devalue the 1-2 character usernames. As somebody who has met many players with 2 character usernames and has a particular interest in rare names and the community behind them, I find the implementation of this idea very unfair for the people who "earned" those usernames. It looks like you and the people that upvoted this are simply jealous of the owners of these very valuable accounts and just can't deal with the fact there are some things you will never get to have. Just deal with it!

    Also, what you said about it being a feature until 2016 is false. You were only able to create an account or reserve a name with 1-2 characters when the game was new (around 2010). The account "8" was created in early 2015, simply because the user already had the username reserved at the very early stages of the game.
