Add ability to change MC Color Index in a resource Pack (Bedrock), similar to Optifine's Custom Colors
Hello. I have been making a resource pack for a few days now, and one of the first things that I did was to change the hues for the "green dyed" blocks, like green wool, from the regular dye color of #5E7C16* to a new color like #21B84C*.
However, when I tried to change sheep the sheep wool color, there was no such option in the resource pack template! Likewise, I couldn't change the stained beacon beam, banner color, or leather armor, however, I was able to change the texture for the Green Shulker [ and Box], as those were available as texture images.
My suggestion would be to provide and support some text file, like a JSON file which allows defining custom HEX colors, or 16-pixel image with each pixel referring to a specific color, located in the /textures/colormap folder in the resource pack template. I don't think it would be a matter of changing textures, as they aren't available as-is, and it would certainly be less of a hassle for those who want, say, to revert the colors of the dyes to something akin to before the World Of Color update on Java. It would certainly be much less frustrating than entirely changing the sheep or banner textures to have a green tint that gives you the correct color for something like green but messes up every other color.
Before my color-change
After my color-change
Whatever you think of this idea, thanks regardless!
*These are the HEX color codes.
