    I personally think this would be taking a step backwards, making Lapis, Bone Meal, and Inc Sacs unusable just goes on to confuse returning players who remember those as the old Blue, White, and Black dyes.

    Adding the extra step of turning them into dye only hurts the process, and makes the game less enjoyable.

    This is a case where Java should copy Bedrock, not the other way around.

    apple8404 That would be like saying that you should be able to use cactus or flowers as dye in a crafting recipe. The new dyes were long-overdue, and this should be added to match java.
