Bricks as weapons

Yes I am very much aware how stupid and unlikely this feature would be. But I think it would be nice to have the brick (and maybe nether brick as well) items (not blocks) work as low damage, low range projectiles. The damage should be at most comparable to that of a wooden or golden sword (before the combat snapshot) and the range should be in between a splash potion and a snowball (not too little, but not too much).
