This is aimed more towards the Bedrock Edition of the game, but it could be added to the Java Edition as well.
Currently, in Bedrock Edition, plains and savannah biomes generate with far less grass compared to Java and Legacy Console. It previously generated with the same amount of grass a long time ago, but it was changed due to the grass apparently causing performance issues on lower-end devices. Now with the fewer amounts of grass, plains and savannah biomes look very empty and not as nice like on Java and Legacy Console.
My suggestion to solve this so users with higher-end devices can get a lot of grass like on Java and Legacy Console is to add an option to adjust the amount of grass generated in plains and savannah biomes upon world creation in the world settings. The option could also work similarly to the render distance slider, where the game will automatically set the render distance to what your hardware can handle. On Xbox, for example, the amount of grass generated in the biomes would automatically be set to max as it can easily handle that much amount of grass.
