[bedrock] Music download button for mobile devices

Often players have no clue how to enable the in-game music on mobile devices as it is a separate download. The Minecraft Original Music Pack (Music by Minecraft) can be downloaded for free from the Marketplace.

Most likely the player is going to inspect the Audio Settings in-game. There is a slider that indicates the music is enabled. No other feedback to the player is provided at this point, that the music can be downloaded. This is often reported as a bug on bugs.mojang.com as “no music” or “jukeboxes don't play music”.

Suggestion is to create a direct download button for the Original Music pack (by Minecraft) on the Audio (Settings) tab for the affected Mobile devices. Or create a direct link to the pack on the marketplace in this tab.

The current method of manually having to search for the music is counter-intuitive / confusing and creates a barrier for players to enjoy the in-game soundtrack.

    This is a great idea. For the longest time a kept searching the menu looking for a way to turn on the music. I had to search google to find out that I had to download it.

    also sometimes it doesn't show up in the marketplace home so it takes even longer to find it

    Why only mobile? Shouldn't the others be included? (If they already do have that button, sorry. The only device I have is a phone so I don't know what it's like on the other devices.)

    I agree with this post and have been searching for resolution for months since switching from Nintendo Switch to Android for superior mobile performance and cellular connectivity!!  Thank you for pointing this out!

    Here's some feedback regarding trying to find the minecraft original music pack myself, and encountering significant difficulty:

    Android 9, Minecraft version 1.14.60

    Had the mobile version installed for about a week, and had not been able to figure out why the music volume was all the way up yet I never heard music.

    Went googling,

    first hits were from sites like Quora, giving an answer to why music wouldn't play, and thus I had to learn from a third party that the music I'm familiar with from Java version isn't included in the base game on mobile. I can in retrospect understand why it might not be, for size issues, but this information is not readily apparent or easy to discover, particularly given the implications of a music volume slider suggesting the presence of music.

    Well okay, so I go to the store to try to find it,

    searching "music" gave no results, "original" gave no results,

    I joined the Minecraft discord to see if there was any info, found mostly people responding to my identical question with, "have you tried ~this reddit post~?", whereas the reddit post they would link contained no relevant information,

    googled more,

    FINALLY found someone suggesting to yet another person with my same question to filter by "creator: minecraft", and near the end of those results I finally, finally found the music pack.

    Overall, this was unexpected, and needlessly arcane and difficult to execute.

    In Minecraft 1.20 there is no option to download music in the marketplace and can't even Google is been able to tell it how to download and where to find and this is a great idea to include
