When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Selective Block Observer (Windows 10)

Basically the Observer would get a GUI where when you open it you can add a block into it's item slot and when you do the Observer would ONLY detect that block and when that block is taken out the Observer detects everything again. This would be useful for auto farms, for instance I tried to build and automatic Sugar Cane Farm where when the cane grows it triggers the Observer and a Piston destroys it and sends it through some hoppers to an item elevator but the Observer detected the Piston Arm and created a Redstone Clock so the feature would help a lot of people! (The reason I left it so you can have an Observer detect everything with no block in it was to not anger people)

    Who NEEDS this... also I remembered that it was a Pumpkin/Melon Farm not a Sugar Cane Farm.

    Maybe just having an observer that doesn't output a signal after it has been pushed or pulled would be a good idea.

     

    P.S. I know this is almost completely unrelated to this post but this was where I was directed by the mods because this idea was apparently  too similar to yours.
