A Genderless Default Skin

There should be a third default skin that doesn't resemble either of the two genders. It could become the new face of Minecraft. This would solve the situation with Alex taking Steve's place. Plus, a genderless character would represent a game where gender doesn't exist. And best of all, it would let people know that Minecraft is a game for everyone, where no gender or race is superior to the other(s). Then, you could finally stop giving Alex all the attention. After all, Mojang is a company that supports gender equality.

    I want to preface this with the fact that I'm an OLD, white, straight, male, who doesn't really "get" all this gender-importance business that is currently a "hot topic" -- The reason I say this is to make my next statement all the more important:
    This is a !!GREAT!! idea. Not only for the reasons you listed but so many more! 
    I used to work security for the government, for example, and A LOT of kids play minecraft. It would be great for them (or their parents) to be able to set a basic, nondescript, type of skin so that if they play online they don't feel the need to talk about, or discuss their gender, or be mis-cast. For example: A young girl who is either fully feminine/female, or too young to know/care about such things often has the choice of either; Picking the girl skin, because she is a girl, and does NOT want to walk around with a boy skin, but then has to constantly hear stuff about her being a girl, or Pick the boy skin. And just pretend to be a boy.

    (This is but one of several examples that instantly came to mind when I read your suggestion, I decided to list it specifically because of it's security and children safety issues. But there are so many more! Good job. ~upvoted~)

    I really like the idea of having a genderless skin. I'm tired of Alex taking all the attention, and This would be an easy solution.

    I don't think there is a benefit for this to be a default skin. You can set any skin you want for a vast sea of them.
