Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

The Nether Portal Link Block

A block constructed out of obsidian, nether quartz and a eye of ender When connected to a nether portal it will remain inactive until a player places a block of any type in any of 5 open inventory slots that appear when right clicked. Once the block is active a player then can create another portal with a link block connected to it. The player will not travel to the new portal unless the same type of block is in the same slot in the nether link inventory. This block makes it easier for players to travel through the overworld.

    Love this! Since biomes are so large, I'd love to be able to travel back and forth between, say, a Jungle biome and my home base using linked portals.
