Melee weapon strikes should disable (stun) bows for some time like axes do with shields.
That's what pushed me to this proposal:
1. Skeletons are too strong.
In my view skeleton archers are ranged mobs that do a lot of damage at a distance and become vulnerable at close range. But it isn't true. In fact, at close range they gain an even greater advantage - you can't dodge their arrows. It means that even if you got to them and able to attack them with your sword, they will still punch you out of your attack distance, damaging you even more. It seems like ok if you wearing diamond armor with maxed enchantments (but still annoying), but during early-mid game it really comes to nightmare. Of course, shield blocks arrows, but again, it helps only at range, while at melee distance it doesn't. There is a delay before shield actually starts to block, so you have to wait indefinitely before skeleton shot. So, battles with skeleton is really a pain until late game, and it's not fun, especially on hard mode (I know that hard should be hard, but should it be unbalanced?). With bow stun skeletons won't be able to shoot until they retreat. That seems more balanced. And fun.
2. Battles generally.
I usually don't play PVP, but I think bow stun would make sense here as well: melee weapon is melee and ranged weapon is ranged, right?
