Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Ghastmallows - An exciting fun food item with a variety of unique uses!

Steve and Alex sometimes get a little bit hungry for a tasty treat, and what's more perfect than some yummy, soft ghastmallows!

Ghastmallows are crafted in batches of 8 with a unique recipe not too dissimilar to real life marshmallows. (Slimeballs represent gelatin)

As a food ghastmallows are  identical to cookies, however what makes them a worthwhile addition is their unique uses.

Unique uses:

As a food ghastmallows can be improved by being crafted with a stick to from the ghastmallow-on-a-stick. One can then hold rightclick over a campfire, with an animation similiar to the drawing-a-bow animation (the model rotating to face forward and shaking a bit) to form a toasted ghastmallow! A toasted ghastmallow awakenens the power of the ghast tear due to heat (just like brewing), causing it to give 2 seconds of regeneration 1, and can be eaten regardless of hunger.

It turns out zombie pigmen love toasted ghatmallow! So if you anger a zombie pigman, you can feed him your toasted ghastmallow to turn him neutral! Just make sure you bring enough for the entire group! 

As a bonus, neutralising a pigman will earn you the advancement "Act of good faith". 

Blaze rod + ghastmallow = The blazing ghastmallow. It is a unique weapon, it only has 15 durability and can't be enchanted. The blazing ghastmallow does only +1 additional damage than the fist but is useful as it sets foes on fire!

    The character limit is a bit strict, anyway here's my thoughts on why I think this would be a good addition:

    It's obvious at this point that Mojang prefer unique additions, not some basic food like lettuce every second mod adds. The ghastmallow would be good for the game as it has a lot of potential use cases. Also they add a new use for the ghast tear which is one of the least used items in the game. Most importantly I think they help alleviate the issue with the hunger system in the game at the moment, and that is almost every food is overshadowed by more efficient and effective options? Ever had a stack of pumpkin pie in your inventory? Me neither. Food with unique uses are needed and older foods (especially pork chops) need a bit of a rework.

    I like the idea with the Pigmen. Maybe the it will also make them follow you or protect you (because of the high price point with the ghost tears)? That may be obscenely broken, but we can dream.
