Turn Off Nether (or make portals that don’t teleport)

On the HIVE server, I play death run, and portals sort work like little checkpoints. I want to do something like this where I can go through a portal and it doesn’t take me to the nether no matter how long I stand in it. Also the portal could set the respawn point for the players when they run through it.
