Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Slab signs/half-signs

I propose a new set of sign blocks, able to be placed on the edges of slabs, with only 2 lines of text. I think this would make room and area labels much nicer looking, and allow a sign over a doorway or passageway even if there's only a slab height over it. You should be able to place them on the side of a fence post one on top of another and have them not connect, for crossroads markers. Additionally, I think there should be a one line placard that can be placed on doors, maybe with metal variants.

    I think this would be perfect in many situations, mostly in modern builds. Another possibility could be simply placing existing signs with a half-block offset up or down, thus making them fit and also hang a bit (I prefer the half-sign though).

    I don't really see the use case for other variants (the one-line one, because it's so specific), but I like the idea of metal signs with texture similar to iron trapdoor or iron door to make it all fit together.
