Spawning: Mobs that spawn on islands smaller than 250 blocks (icebergs not included) in ocean biomes could be about a third or even half the size of mainland mobs, the concept of island dwarfism in minecraft would in my opinion be very interesting indeed.
Drops: Dwarven mobs being smaller should naturally drop slightly less items than their larger cousins, for example a sheep’s maximum shear is 3-4 wool (I think), a dwarven sheep would only drop 1-2 wool.
Migration: If a dwarven mob is moved to a mainland area its offspring would grow up to be of normal mobs size, while not completely realistic, it’s minecraft.
Unaffected: Animals that wouldn’t be affected by dwarfism could include: Bats, phantoms, ghasts and turtles seeing as they can move to further away lands easily.
