Iron Golem awareness during raid

Village raids are great, but it's frustrating when the fight is going on at the time square, and you have half the iron golems mindlessly patrolling a couple of [village] blocks away. What I see happen in large villages is that the iron golems get singled out and as a result are much less effective at rallying up a proper defense.

It would be very helpful if only during the raid, the iron golems were in a sort of alert mode, so they stay closer to villagers rather than walking around areas devoid of them, and have an increased (doubled?) detection range of illagers, or if the golems could somehow communicate with each other, so if one finds a group of illagers, every golem in the village will be alerted of the enemy location there, and will rush to assist.
