Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

(Nether Metal) Dark Iron/Reaper Ingots

This new metal would be a decently rare find, more rare than lapis, in the Nether. It would only drop one ore block, wich can be smelted into a blackish-gray ingot. They could be used to craft new weapons or armor. One idea that I had was The Fatal Scythe. It is made of bones for a handle and three of these new ingots. The weapon itself does only about as much damage as an iron sword, but with one added perk; it has a chance to inflict a wither effect on opponents with fewer than ten health. This would also be useful in order to give a good reason to go to the nether. I don't know about any good names for it as of yet, but maybe dark iron or reaper ingots.
