Pillager Patrols Entering Villages

Raids can be toggled by a Pillager Patrol simply entering a village

This way Raids can feel more accidental, and less deliberate.

    I think this wouldn't work very well because it could also activate raids in villages without any players to defend it.. making it possible for a player to discover a villager for the first time (that was already in loaded chunks) to see it devoid of villagers and filled with partying pillagers. This wouldn't be very fair towards the poor defenceless villagers.

    I agree with Pascal Anema. Another reason this feels unfair is that the Raid is essentially a boss fight, like the Wither or the End Dragon - they all have the progress bar at the top of the screen in common. If it can happen without the player being there, it feels out of line with the other boss fights of Minecraft.
