Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

i would love to see a block that would compress items like iron redstone lapis and such items that have a crafting rescipe to make a block. this block should also work on quartz and other 2x2 recipes. this would be something i can see being used to help automate smelting systems with kelp as fuel. this block should also have hopper availibility and can hopper in and out

    It appears there is already an existing thread on this topic (or something very similar). Feel free to join that discussion in progress. Cutting down on threads with very similar ideas will ideas to stay together so they can receive the attention they deserve from our developers. Even though you may not agree with all the exact ideas in the other thread(s), we love it when the community works together on ideas!

    It should also be able to convert nuggets (such as iron and gold) into ingots.
