Levels in Villagers and Illigers

Hi, before you go on declining. Please consider what I have to say.
Is it just me, or when I go and protect villagers from illigers. I die so much it’s impossible to protect my trade friendly villages. Iron golems I hardly see, they die really fast. And not to mention that Me and my Dad die instantly from a tiny touch to the ravenger?
I think the illigers need levels, every time you deffet a raid, you level up. And if you die being defeated, you level lower. So do the illigers! They go with your level in fighting skills. They say, have five piligers and one archer. There level should be lvl 1. And they use wodden swords. My iron armour and sword have a hard time killing.

    Levels literally don't do squat in minecraft except give you fodder for enchantments.

    The reason why I say levels, is that Illagers are ro hard to beat. They have such a high AC. And they give a big punch to your face. I should be able to protect most villagers and villages with iron armor! But My armor is like I have no armor, or leather armor. Both me and my Dad find its difficulties with the illigers hard. We try to trade, but then a army of heavy hard hitting pests come. And I die in about three seconds. WITH IRON ARMOR AND SWORD!! I shouldn’t have to do a whole lot of mining for dimeonds to protect an empty village I literally just found.
