-> Mobs that have a limited digging aspect (being able to slowly dig through blocks to chase you) would also make mining more exciting and add a sense of suspense to mining in caves (sort-of like walking around in the middle of the night in the overworld. You don't know when something is going to sneak up behind you).
-> New variations of mobs that spawn in deep caves and can not be killed without specific enchantments (such as smite or fire aspect) would be interesting, and it would add some use to the less used enchantments such as Bane of Arthropods.
-> Possible types of mobs: New variations of slimes, mobs that spawn in or around pools of lava, semi-invisible mobs (or ones that are textured to blend in with the stone), mobs that break torches that they walk past, etc.
