Stackable Sand and Sand Block

So think of it like this there is snow and snow block. So what I thought kind of like snow: so there can be a new block or item sand. Okay not that sand but a sand like snow. So for example, you can stack the sand to soon make it take up one whole block room like snow. But you'd still want the whole sand so sand block like snow block. This sand like snow can be used in many ways (ocean floor, sandy spots, deserts etc.). And I think sand and snow are related in some way so why not? So consider adding this to Minecraft.

    So you are wanting a sand layer that stacks up until it becomes a full block, the way snow stacks. Would it still be effected by gravity? I think it should, but I also think snow layers should be effected by gravity in Java too.

    I think this idea will radically change the appearance of the game! This functionality should be for gravel, red sand, and cement.
